NDT Lab
The NDT Lab was established in 2000 by Prof. Maria Koui. It is a research unit at the Materials Science and Engineering Department of the Chemical Engineering School (NTUA). The NDT Lab mainly focuses on and applies research in the area of Non Destructive Testing. In particular, the NDT Lab is mainly involved with basic and applied research on the development, application, measurement and interpretation of advanced non-invasive techniques in lab and in situ (Non Destructive methods and techniques, such as Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound testing, Fiber Optics Microscopy, Digital Image Processing, Fiber Optics Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy, Ground Penetrating Radar etc) focusing on proposing Non Destructive Testing & Evaluation methodologies in various applications such as materials characterization, structural integrity, inspection procedures etc.
